Meal Support GrouP

 
 
 

Nourishment Works offers a Meal Support Group to foster community and support on your journey of attuned eating. The following is additional information to help you decide if this group is a good fit!

Our Meal Support Group is an experiential eating group where we gather to have a meal together. At the beginning of each group, attendees do introductions and a quick check-in. After a mindful moment, we each set individual intentions for the group since members of the group may be working on different goals to support their personal recovery. One may have the intention of being present during the meal, another’s intention may be to complete the meal to practice not using behaviors, while another’s intention may be to leave some food behind in order to honor their body’s fullness and challenge their inner food police.

This group is a place to come together with others in the community seeking connection and support during a meal. Everyone who attends will be responsible for preparing their own foods/beverage for the group. There is no need to show your meal to anyone which may offer some additional privacy. No one will be monitoring what you are eating or not eating. It is up to you to bring the nourishment that meets your needs and preferences.

During these groups we engage in fun and lighthearted conversation and discussion questions. At the end of group, we do a check-out and review our shared experience.

This is a drop-in support group, offered virtually on Zoom. Our drop-in groups allows new group members to be incorporated throughout the weekly group sessions. The out of pocket cost is $10 per group session. Check with us about using insurance. An intake session is required prior to joining.
