Insurance

IN network insurance

Nourishment Works is pleased to announce that we are affiliated with the several insurance companies as in-network providers. These insurance companies include:

  • Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO
  • Blue Choice PPO
  • Medicare
  • United Healthcare

If you would like to request an appointment with us, please complete our online form here.

All of our clinicians at Nourishment Works are “in-network providers” with BCBS PPO, BCBS Choice PPO plans, Medicare, and United Healthcare. If this is your insurance carrier, we are able to submit the necessary paperwork for payment. You will be responsible for any co-payments, deductibles or any amount they do not cover for each session.

Please notes we are NOT in network with Any Medicaid Or HMO Plans.

Before beginning services at Nourishment Works, we recommend that you first call your insurance carrier to check eligibility and benefits. You can usually find your benefit information through your provider’s website or access it by phone using the member number provided on the back of your insurance card. Follow prompts or inform a representative that you want to check your nutritional counseling benefits.

Out-of-network Benefits

If you have an insurance plan that we do not accept, you may be able to receive partial reimbursement through your out-of-network benefits. Please contact your insurance company to verify benefits. For those who choose to use out-of-network benefits, the full cost of the session is paid at the time of service. We will provide you with a “superbill” to submit to your insurance company. You can always access your superbills through the client portal.

Payment

Payment methods

We accept cash, Chase QuickPay Zelle, checks, credit cards and health savings account (HSA) cards. Payment is due at the time services are provided.

No Surprises Act

The federal No Surprises Act became effective Jan. 1, 2022. The law aims to help clients understand health care costs in advance of care and to minimize unforeseen or surprise healthcare bills.

If you do not have insurance or are not using insurance to pay for care, under these protections, you can ask your healthcare provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service.

For details, please visit https://www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
