NOURISHING BOOK CLUB 2.0

Nourishment Works continues to offer our Nourishing Book Club. The following is additional information to help you decide if this group is a good fit!

After popular demand, we are excited to offer another Nourishing Book Club. Together we’ll be unpacking the book The Wellness Trap” by Christy Harrison. This is a closed group and a syllabus will be provided.

This group is designed to bring people together in a community setting, offering opportunities for connection and support as we embark on a collective journey of reading and learning. While not mandatory, having a copy of the book is recommended to follow along with the group's progression.

To establish a safe and welcoming environment, the group will engage in various activities and discussions to promote a sense of belonging and build a foundation of trust. This book club will be conducted on an every other week basis and serve as a starting point for each reading's exploration. Each group is run in a classroom format and we process and discuss the book together.

Time will allow for check-ins and closure. This will provide an opportunity for members to reflect on their experiences, share their thoughts and feelings, and discuss any questions they may have.

To ensure variety and diversity in teaching styles, facilitators will rotate every couple of weeks, allowing members to receive a wide range of perspectives and insights. This will keep things interesting, engaging, and help to create an inclusive and dynamic learning environment.

Overall, this group is an excellent opportunity for anyone looking to learn and grow alongside a supportive and caring community. With engaging activities, insightful discussions, and a welcoming atmosphere, members can expect to gain new insights, build lasting connections, and enjoy a fulfilling and enriching experience of reading this book together!

This closed group meets every other week. The out of pocket cost is $60 per group session. Check with us about using insurance. An intake session is required prior to joining.

health is not a moral obligation: you aren't required to pursue it in order to prove your worthiness. In fact, if you've been traumatized by the pursuit of health in the past, as so many of us have been, you might need some time off to heal—and that's perfectly OK..”
